How we help
A steady path, one safe step at a time
Every woman arrives with a different story, so support at Annie’s House is shaped around her rather than around a programme. These are the things we most often walk through together.
Trauma-informed care
Calm one-to-one time with practitioners who understand trauma, loss and the effect of being repeatedly assessed. You set the pace, and you decide what you are ready to talk about.
Rebuilding with your child
Supported, gentle contact alongside parenting and attachment support, so that time together is safe, positive and something both of you can look forward to.
Confidence and independence
Practical steps towards routine, self-belief and daily stability — from managing a household to preparing for work, study or volunteering.
Practical everyday support
Help with housing, benefits, appointments and paperwork, so that the essentials are steady while you focus on healing.
Working alongside other services
Where you want us to, we liaise with social workers, health services, recovery services and probation — so that you are not repeating your story to everyone.
Family, where it is safe
Involving family members at a pace and in a way that is safe and appropriate, always led by what is right for you and your children.
